Diégo Noesen is a senior dispute resolution lawyer at PETILLION. For more than a decade, he has been focussing on European and domestic litigation and ADR with an emphasis on intellectual property. Diego's practice primarily involves complex civil litigation, both at national and on European level, in a variety of industries including automotive, fashion, media & entertainment, technology and telecommunications.
Diégo also provides transactional advice and assists clients in protecting, managing and enforcing their intellectual property rights. He has a particular expertise in brand and copyright protection, and domain names.
Diégo acted as sole arbitrator in a matter before the Belgian Mediation and Arbitration Center CEPANI, and is also listed as Third-Party Decider for .be domain name disputes.

Diégo Noesen is a member of the Brussels Bar since 2011. He started his career as an associate of Flip in the Brussels office of a U.S. law firm (Intellectual Property department). In 2017, he joined the newly created PETILLION law firm.
Diégo has represented clients before domestic courts (in both French and Dutch), the Court of Justice of the European Union and various administrative bodies such as EUIPO and BOIP.
Diégo has advised clients on ad hoc arbitrations and has acted as counsel in arbitrations before the ICC, the ICDR (AAA), WIPO, CEPANI, the National Arbitration Forum (now FORUM) and the Czech Arbitration Court. Diégo has recently acted as sole arbitrator in a matter before the Belgian Mediation and Arbitration Center (CEPANI, Brussels, Belgium).
- Representing Beevers Kaas, the exclusive distributor of Beemster cheese in Belgium, in a distribution and competition case against Dutch supermarket chain Albert Heijn (proceedings before the Antwerp Court of Appeal, Belgian Competition Authority and the Court of Justice of the European Union).
- Representing Inter Ikea in an IP infringement case against the political party Vlaams Belang (proceedings before the Brussels Court of Appeal and the Court of Justice of the European Union).
- Represented different companies like RAYA, SOLVAY, CSC, Ralph Lauren, PrestaShop, LEGO, Armitage Brothers in trademark infringement litigations before local courts, in EUIPO proceedings, and in proceedings before the General Court of the European Union.
