We handle complex litigation, and we conduct cases before the Court of Justice of the European Union, the General Court of the European Union, the Supreme Court, the Courts of Appeal, Enterprise Courts, Civil Courts and Administrative Courts in Belgium. We also appeared before judges of neighbouring countries.
We worked with a great number of Supreme Court lawyers. Flip Petillion’s mentor was late Supreme Court lawyer Professor Dr. Pierre Van Ommeslaghe and he also worked with Supreme Court lawyers Philippe Gérard, Jean-Marie Nelissen-Grade, Johan Verbist and Martin Lebbe.
As a boutique firm specialized in complex litigation, we have often been asked to analyse work performed and results obtained by counsel of other – usually large – firms. Also, we have been asked to act as lead-counsel in litigation involving counsel from different firms from different jurisdictions. We have supervised proceedings from initiation to final hearings and post-hearing submissions.
