Flip has released another book on AI in legal practice.

Written in French, the book is an updated version of the earlier edition published in Dutch in 2025.

In essence (publisher’s comment – Anthemis):

At the heart of a digital revolution that is reshaping legal professions and challenging our fundamental principles,

Artificial intelligence, in all its forms, is increasingly finding its way into legal practice. From automated document analysis to decision-support tools, the possibilities seem almost limitless.

But what does this evolution mean for legal professionals — lawyers, in-house counsel, judges, or arbitrators?

How can technological innovation be reconciled with respect for the fundamental principles of law?

This essay is intended as an exploration — an intellectual journey — an attempt to understand the impact of AI on the practice of legal professions.

With a perspective that is both critical and open-minded, Flip Petillion examines not only the promises of these technologies, but also their risks and grey areas. He does not seek to lay down strict rules — although he offers many avenues for reflection — but rather to strengthen collective awareness of what a truly responsible use of AI in legal services should entail.
