ICANN interviews Flip Petillion on addressing disagreements in the development of policies.
On 7 November, Ariel Liang, ICANN GNSO Policy Support Specialist, interviewed Flip Petillion and Rafik Dammak, both GNSO Councilors, on changes and improvements of the policy development process (PDP 3.0).
Flip was asked how to address disagreements by a Working Group member who (i) believes that his/her contributions are being systematically ignored or discounted; (ii) wishes to appeal a decision of the Working Group; or (iii) is of the opinion that someone is not performing their role appropriately.
Flip talked about the guidance added to PDP 3.0, the parties involved in the handling of complaints, and the process to address these complaints.
